Bei Ausweg/On Escape#1 hat Thomas Draschan einen Ausgang aus den alltäglich-obskuren Bildwelten über eine Neukontextualisierung ihres Oberflächengebrauchs angedeutet.
Im Anschluss daran präsentiert Chiara Minchio bei Ausweg/On Escape#2 drei Werke, die sie als Fortführung ihrer Portraitarbeiten versteht.
Minchio entlehnt dabei den Kristall als Metapher expressionistischer Architektur und Kunst für die Einigkeit von Form, Transparenz und Reflexion. In ihren Bildern erscheint er als gebrochenes Element, dem das Scheitern der Utopie bereits eingeschrieben ist. Die diamantartigen Strukturen mit denen eine neue Welt gebaut werden sollte vermitteln ein Gefühl knapp vor dem Zusammenstürzen bzw. Ineinanderfallen. Bereits in sich verspiegelt positionieren sie sich als Blickhaftes (Lacan) gegenüber dem Betrachter. Die Identität der Portraits wird in sich nicht fassbar und bindet darin den Zuschauer in eine Schleife ein, deren Anfang und Ende ungewiss sind. Konstruktion, Fragilität, Identität bleiben einzig als Konstanten bestehen. Mit dem Durchscheinenden, Fragmenthaften entzieht sich Minchio einer eindeutigen Festlegung und begibt sich damit On Escape.

On Escape#1 tried to find an exit from daily-obscure images via putting their superficial media-use into a new context.
In the second part of On Escape, Chiara Minchio shows 3 works that she considers as a continuation of her portrait-painting.
Minchio adapts the crystal as a metaphor of the expressionist architecture and art for the unity of form, transparence and reflection. In her painting this metaphor is a broken element. The utopist ideas already contain their failure. The diamond-like structures communicate a feeling of their near collapse. The paintings show a reflection and form a situation of a gaze (Lacan). Looking at the spectator neither the beginning nor the end of the process can be detected. The identity of the portraits remains unseizable. Construction, fragility, identity are the only constants. Via the translucent and fragmentary Chiara Minchio eludes from a clear determination. She is On Escape.
