Ich beschäftige mich mit dem Verhältnis zwischen Individuum und Gesellschaft, wie der Zwiespalt zwischen persönlicher Entfaltung und den Zwängen der Gemeinschaft gelöst bzw. nicht gelöst wird. Meine Interventionen
im öffentlichen Raum positionieren sich zwischen gemeinnütziger Dienstleistung und Selbstjustiz, sie sind meist unangemeldet. Sie basieren auf verändern, reparieren bzw. erweitern von Funktion oder Benutzbarkeit öffentlicher Einrichtungsgegenstände, wie Bänke, Strassenlampen, Mülleimer. Die Interventionen werden Teil der urbanen Realität und bleiben normalerweise bis sie von den Behörden entfernt werden.

My interventions in public space are based on changing, repairing or extending the function or use of public items, like signs, benches, streetlamps. I usually don´t ask for permission, so the works become part of urban reality and stay until they are removed.
The interventions are located between selfless service and selfjustice, an undemocratic taking things in own hands. From the technical perspective the works are very simple. Its important for me to stay on a level which could be practicable for everybody. A lead into temptation to create things yourself and not to leave everything to the authorities.
I try to analyse the borders and legimitations of law. Is it forbidden to renovate neglected public property? Is it in the guide line of nowadays slogan, more private less state-runned responsability or is it a transgression not desired in a tight society of conformity. The information about the existence of works or the way they function is given in exhibitions
and then spreads as a rumour in the city connecting people by sharing a secret.
