In the installation "Distortion and Effect", Christiana Glidden features paintings and sculpture which
are incorporated into a video work. Contrasting or negative colors are again re-inverted using bygone
effects and their distortions are pronounced. Flowing action formerley unites figures with (un)picturesque landscapes of the American West. Reversal is it´s core in the use of color, time, gravity and gender roles,
and this binary equation sets up a fantastic fluctuation in terms of the real and the supernatural.
